What is full-grain leather?
Full-grain leather is the highest quality form of leather available, and full-grain leather goods develop a durable protective patina as you use them in daily life.
For cost reasons, most genuine leather products today are actually using 'split' leather, which is created when the durable premium surface of full-grain leather is removed and replaced with a grain-embossed polyurethane layer. Have you ever owned leather items that wore out quickly from use? This is why.

I really wanted the leather pouch design for my Oneplus 5T phone, but unfortunately MediaDevil only carries the wallet cases for this particular series. After much comparing of sizes, I bought this case with the hopes it would fit. And it did! It fits perfectly even with an additional plastic cover over the phone (the one that comes with the Oneplus). The dark red colour is beautiful to look at and the smell of leather is subtle throughout the day. Definitely worth the money for this piece of art.
This is my second case from Media Devil. They are well made and last a long time. Being leather, they age beautifully.
This is the second slip case I have bought from MediaDevil. Once again the product is of the highest quality & worth every penny of the purchase price. With most new smartphones costing £300 or more why would you buy a substandard case? My first case from MediaDevil is still in perfect condition after almost 4 years - the leather and finish are of the highest quality. Now I have a new phone and a new leather case. This has to be one of the best quality brands out there.
I've previously bought cases from MediaDevil, they've all been great. This one is no exception. It's really well made, fits the phone perfectly and looks fantastic. These cases really protect your phone from knocks, shocks and falls.
I am just as happy with my Pixel 2 XL pouch as I was with my Nexus 6P pouch, great quality at a reasonable price. Keep up the good work!
I really wanted to use my new Pixel 2 XL without a case but at the same time protect it when in my bag or pocket. This ticks both boxes beautifully; it really is very well crafted and the leather looks, feels and smells fantastic. I went with the navy blue, which I can highly recommend. It's a bit darker than in the pictures and very understated. For those of you who are unsure (as I was) of how well this case fits the phone, I can confirm that it is a perfect fit. There is no chance of it falling out and the snug fits results in a really positive action on the tab used to slide out the phone. If you're in the market for a case of this style then look no further.
Pouch is amazing design and great quality. First class real leather and it fits very good to phone. It provides good secure to device. This is my second purchase from MediaDevil and I am very satisfied and surely will buy for other phones. For ones who like pull tab pouches, this is the best buy.
The first case I always buy for my phone. High quality real leather. The phone did snuggly and feels secure. Provides good protection and this means I don't need an ugly plastic case. Customer service is excellent as always and postage is quick
There is no denying the quality of these pouches. They are very expensive for what they are but that said, they are made to measure, fit perfectly and are pleasing to look at and touch. The oxblood red is more brown than red to my eye.
Hi Benjamin, thanks very much for your review and your support! I'm the co-founder of MediaDevil.
In terms of our pricing, we really feel it is extremely reasonable, and it's usually half the price of similar quality products All of our leather cases are handmade in Europe using full-grain leather. There's a good reason why we have over 1,000 5* leather pouch reviews on Amazon :)
We sell at prices that we believe are both fair for our customers and fair for us. Most large high street retailers (e.g. Carphone Warehouse) are selling 'split leather' cases mass produced in China (split leather is a leather bottom layer coated with a plastic top layer), for a higher price than this.
We produce private-labelled iPhone pouches (very similar to our MediaDevil pouches) for some notable brands, and their selling price is usually around £100-£150. We believe in inclusive pricing, and that is why we sell our leather products for a fraction of those prices.

Looks fantastic and high quality. Arrived promptly. Very satisfied.
This is my third phone using a MediaDevil Leather Pouch Case. Wouldn't use anything else!!
Will a Pixel 2 XL fit with a thin Google live case?
Artisanpouch is designed to snugly fit the device (you must remove any other case before using it), so it definitely won't fit. You may have some luck with our Size 5 Universal Artisanpouch however - we provide dimensions in its product description.
