Apple Watch Ultra (49mm) Screen Protector | MediaDevil Magicscreen Ultra-Tough Edition

This is a great screen protector, once you manage to get it installed properly. It needs to be lined up 'manually' which is very tricky to do. The video shows the process but the person doing the installation has clearly been practicing! It took me three attempts. What is needed is a template, common on other similar products. That said, the protector itself is excellent. Essentially invisible and with no noticeable degradation in touch-response function.

Hi Derek,

Many thanks for your feedback and we'd certainly like to address the points you made.

Admittedly alignment with this particular Magicscreen edition can be a little tricky mainly due to the relatively small size of the protector (it is a bit more fiddly compared to phone-sized protectors) but the titanium bezels do pretty much dictate where the protector will sit. Fortunately as Ultra-Tough is thicker than a 'regular' film protector it is a lot more forgiving.

Ideally there should be a gap a fraction of a millimetre round each edge to help with this hence why the protectors are a tiny bit undersized. When we were at the design stage - as each protector is designed in-house using a real device for accuracy - using a blob of Blu-Tac or something and attaching it to the centre of the protector does make handling it at application a little more easier because then you can use it as a kind of handle and gives you more purchase.

We did discuss including an installation frame or something but decided that:
(a) It's not cost effective,
(b) we're averse to including something extra that's possibly environmentally-unfriendly,
(c) In practice for a device this size it can actually make things more awkward.
