Choose your Matte Texture:

In response to customer requests, we now provide a choice of two different matte textures (Satin HD Matte and Ultra Matte), to allow you to select the material that best fits your requirements. We will be adding a comparison video to make this choice easier in the future.

Satin HD Matte:

  • This satin material is halfway between glossy and matte. It is aimed at those wanting a non-glossy protector, without the usual pixellation caused by matte material.
  • If it has a key 'downside', it is that fingerprinting is more common than with our Ultra Matte material.

Ultra Matte:

  • This is a pure matte material, with a paper-like surface texture. It has better glare reduction and fingerprint reduction than our Satin HD Matte material.
  • If it has a key 'downside' it is that it adds more screen pixellation than our Satin HD Matte material (Please note: we are very selective about the materials we range, so for any material to have got this far, it means it has our seal of approval).


Matte Pixellation Disclaimer:

  • Matte material protectors produce a pixellation of the screen, as this is the natural effect created by the Matte (anti-glare) frosted texture. It is simply an unavoidable 'law of physics'.
  • You will see this pixellation on all anti-glare screen protectors from all brands (many of which are noticeably more extreme than ours). Apple's own matte screen monitors and professional television industry monitors display it also, as it is unavoidable.
