Our waterproof Typeguard protects your keyboard from dust, liquid spills, and other contaminants. It is easy to apply, uses no adhesive, and is washable and reusable. Typeguard is engineered from 0.2mm ultra-thin, non-toxic, high-grade Thermoplastic Urethane ('TPU'), which allows it to be over 50% thinner than regular silicon protectors. This allows for minimum interference while typing, and reduces keystroke noise.

This Anti-Bacterial edition is embedded with silver nanoparticles, which are scientifically proven to prevent the growth of over 600 types of bacteria. Also available in a Clear edition (this Anti-Bacterial edition has a transparent greyish appearance, due to its embedded silver nanoparticles).

Model Compatibility:
This particular Typeguard is compatible with all sizes (13" / 15" / 17") of the MacBook Pro models (Retina and Non-Retina), released in 2010-2015, and also the MacBook Air 13" (2012-2017 models).

The UK/EU ('ISO') and United States ('ANSI') keyboard layouts are different. Please be sure to purchase the appropriate Typeguard key layout.

Wish I'd found this years ago...

The keyboard protector fits very snugly, better than any other I've tried - very quickly, I forgot it was there. If I'd had this years ago, I'd definitely have avoided costly repairs caused by dust, and very possibly more repairs caused by a splash of coffee. I hope MediaDevil keeps on making these for the new Macs. Peace of mind for next to nothing...

Overall, a great protector

I really like this product and trust the brand. I used to own the regular protector but thought the anti-bacterial edition would be a good idea. Can barely notice it when I type. The only unfavorable thing about the protector is that it can leave light keyboard marks (like dirty fingerprints) on my screen. I assume it's from the silver nano particles (dust or powder?) that it's in the protector. It's not overly bothersome; just noticeable but it seems to wipe clean away.
