Choose your Matte Texture:

In response to customer requests, we now provide a choice of two different matte textures (Satin HD Matte and Ultra Matte), to allow you to select the material that best fits your requirements. We will be adding a comparison video to make this choice easier in the future.

Satin HD Matte:

  • This satin material is halfway between glossy and matte. It is aimed at those wanting a non-glossy protector, without the usual pixellation caused by matte material.
  • If it has a key 'downside', it is that fingerprinting is more common than with our Ultra Matte material.

Ultra Matte:

  • This is a pure matte material, with a paper-like surface texture. It has better glare reduction and fingerprint reduction than our Satin HD Matte material.
  • If it has a key 'downside' it is that it adds more screen pixellation than our Satin HD Matte material (Please note: we are very selective about the materials we range, so for any material to have got this far, it means it has our seal of approval).

Matte Pixellation Disclaimer:

  • Matte material protectors produce a pixellation of the screen, as this is the natural effect created by the Matte (anti-glare) frosted texture. It is simply an unavoidable 'law of physics'.
  • You will see this pixellation on all anti-glare screen protectors from all brands (many of which are noticeably more extreme than ours). Apple's own matte screen monitors and professional television industry monitors display it also, as it is unavoidable.

What a life changer…..

At my son’s suggestion I researched a screen protector which would enable me to see the phone screen when outside, especially in bright sunshine. I had no idea such a thing existed but I am extolling its virtue to all and everyone and wonder how I ever coped before. What an outstanding product and so easy to fit. I can happily sit outside, reading a book on my phone without having to manipulate the screen, or move around to prevent glare stopping me from seeing what I was reading. I recommend this product, and the company and wish it were possible to give more than five stars.

A great product

I have used the matte style of MediaDevil screen protectors with several phones since 2015. I have found that I have to replace it every few years-- it's durable but I constantly carry it in my front pocket so it gets plenty of abuse. I have found I really prefer the matte finish to the usual shiny protectors, so I'm about to order a new set!
I have only interacted with customer service once and it was great. A few years back, a package didn't arrive within a few weeks, so I reached out to customer service to check the status... and MediaDevil immediately sent me another set.
