About the Grafikcase creation process
How do you manage to achieve this?
Grafikcase uses our Thermentive Transferâ„¢ technology to pair the artwork of our favourite artists and brands with our own cases.
What are the minimum dimension/quality requirements of the image required to create a custom Grafikcase?
Minimum size: 1700 x 1700 pixels
Minimum resolution: 300dpi (Helpful Hint: images saved from websites are a much lower resolution than 300dpi, and must not be used).
Will the image rub/scratch off the Grafikcase?
No.
How high will the detail of the image be when added to the Grafikcase?
Images look pretty much exactly the same as your original image. This means that high-resolution photos are replicated fantastically. It also means that if you provide a low resolution image (lower than 300dpi), the image will look pixellated on the case. An uncompressed photo taken on any modern digital camera, or any camera phone with a decent camera (e.g. the iPhone 4/4S, but not the iPhone 3G/3GS) will be absolutely fine. Please note that some colours may appear darker then on the screen due to the printing process.
About the Grafikcase cases themselves
What material are your cases made from?
An incredibly high grade plastic (it must be completely free of impurities, or image definition is affected). That is really the only information we can publicise.
What is the design of your cases like?
Our current range of cases are all very slim cases, designed to add minimum bulk to the device, and to allow minimum distraction from the image on the case. You can find more specific details about each case on the product page.
We do intend to add 'tough' bulkier cases to our range, and that is something we are presently working on.
What is the diffference between the Glossy and Matte finishes?
Quite simply, one is Glossy (like your phone screen, or a regular photograph), and the other is Matte (like brushed aluminium).
The Glossy edition displays images in perfect definition, and the Matte edition loses a (tiny) bit of definition due to its frosted texture,in the same way that a satin/matte photograph does.
Which devices do you support?
We currently support the Apple iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 3G/3GS, iPod Touch 4G/5G, and the Samsung Galaxy S II (UK/Europe/AT&T version)
