About Magicwand

I cannot find the Magicwand stylus colour that I was hoping to find. How can I find out if you will be releasing/re-releasing it in the future?

Please visit our Coming Soon page.

All upcoming products that we have confirmed we will be selling are listed there, and you can sign up for an email notification of when the product you are waiting for becomes available.

If the product you would like is not listed, please complete our Product Request form and we will discuss it in our weekly product range meeting (your requests do genuinely get heard).

Is Magicwand compatible with all capacitive touch screen devices?

So far at least, Magicwand has been compatible with 100% of the hundreds of capacitive touch screen devices (e.g. phones, tablets, GPS, and Sat-nav devices) that we and our customers have tested it with.

How can I find out if Magicwand is compatible with my device?

Does Magicwand work with your Magicscreen and Easyscreen screen protectors?

Magicwand is completely compatible with our Magicscreen and Easyscreen Crystal Clear, Matte Clear and Mirror editions.
Depending on the device you are using, you may notice a slight loss of sensitivity if using Magicwand with our Privacy edition screen protector (which is twice as thick as our other screen protector editions).

Will Magicwand scratch my device screen or screen protector?

In a word, no. Magicwand’s tip is made from a patented low-friction material that glides across your device screen.

Is Magicwand compatible with other brands' screen protectors?

We are not aware of any screen protector brands that our patented touch screen stylus tips are not compatible with. That said, there are hundreds of brands of screen protectors other than our own, so we can never 100% guarantee this.

Can I buy replacement nibs for Magicwand?

We don't currently sell replacement nibs, however if you experience any difficulties with your nib please do contact us with your order number, and we'll help get you sorted.

Where can I order ballpoint pen refills for my Magicwand ballpoint edition?

Is Magicwand suitable for detailed drawing/sketching?

We've seen some truly impressive sketches made using our Magicwand stylus range.

That said, you may find that the nib is a little thicker than you would usually use to do detailed drawing. However (and this is a big however!), thinner nibs are actually worse at making contact with the touch screen, resulting in poor accuracy due to the screen failing to sense the stylus (e.g. when drawing a curved line).
This is because technology has not (yet) advanced to a point where it is cost effective to mass produce touch screens that support the very fine detail required when writing/drawing. Most drawing apps now have different modes of brush/pen thickness to select from in order to compensate for shortcoming. We believe our styluses to be the most accurate currently available.

When we were getting ready to launch our first Magicwand back in 2010, we wasted about 6 months trying to use a thinner nib, but in the end decided against it. You'll notice that on Amazon, thinner nibbed products consistently have product reviews that mention they're not as good as the thicker versions. As soon as e.g. Apple releases a phone/tablet that can support a thinner nib, we'll release thinner nibbed styluses.

How thick is Magicwand's nib?

Our stylus nibs are currently 8mm in diameter.

We do sometimes get asked why we don't offer thinner nibs.
